SENIOR COACHING STAFF

Shelly Malone*
RGC Director, Level 6, 7, 8 Head Coach
Shelly has 20 years of coaching experience, over 14 years at RGC. She is a USAG professional, Safety Certified, KAT Certified, Meet Director Certified, First Aid and CPR Certified.
She started doing gymnastics at RGC when she was 5 years old and competed at the optional team level and competed for the Richfield High School Team. She competed for the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire from 1989- 1993, where she earned her Degree in Broadcast Journalism with a minor in Economics. She qualified to compete at the Women’s Division III National Collegiate Gymnastics Championships in 1991. She has coached at the class level, team level and high school levels.
She has three daughters that keep her busy! In her spare time she likes to read, run, golf and hang out with her family.

McKenzie Novak*
RGC Class Director, Firecracker Head Coach
McKenzie has over 5 years coaching experience at the class and Team levels. She is a USAG Professional, Safety Certified, First Aid and CPR Certified.
She was a former RGC gymnast from age 7-12 where she competed at the team level. She also competed for the Richfield High School Team. She graduated with Magna Cum Laude Honors from Winona State University with a Degree in Elementary Education with Early Childhood and a minor in coaching.
She currently is a Child Care Center Team Member at Lifetime Fitness and an assistant coach for the Richfield High School Girl's Gymnastics Team. In her free time she enjoys being with friends and family, working out, and spending time at her cabin up north.

Sarah Arnold*
Level 5 Head Coach
Sarah was an RGC gymnast from age 3-17, where she competed at the team level. She started coaching at RGC in May of 2008 at the class and team levels. She is a USAG professional, Safety Certified, and First aid Certified.
She attended St. Cloud State University where she obtained credits towards a degree in Mass Communication. Sarah also works full time at Wells Fargo Home Mortgage in Minneapolis.
Sarah has two sons and a daughter who is on the team at RGC. She loves watching the Twins and baseball in general and loves to travel.

Stephanie Simons*
Level 4 Head Coach
Stephanie is former RGC team gymnast. She coached at RGC from 2001-2003 and then coached at the University of Wisconsin Stout for a year, and then returned to RGC in 2007-Present. She has coached at the class and team level. She is a USAG Professional, Safety Certified, First Aid and CPR certified.
Stephanie graduated from UW-Stout with a Degree in Retail Merchandising and Management with a concentration in Interior Design and a minor in Interior Design.
She also works full time at Peters Billiards in Minneapolis. She loves puppies, country music, shopping and hanging out with friends and family.

Kristin McGinness
Team Coach
Kristin participated and competed for the Bloomington Gymnastics Club up to level 5. She is First Aid and CPR certified. She earned her Bachelors Degree from Augsburg College in Minneapolis where she lettered in soccer. She has coached soccer for 8 years at many levels and ages.
Kristin is an Accountant at Peters Billiards in Minneapolis. Kristin and her husband have 4 kids, 2 girls and 2 boys. Her oldest daughter is on the Richfield high school team and her other daughter is an RGC Team gymnast.

Brianna Steigauf
Class/Team Coach
Bri will be entering her third year at Seattle Pacific University. She is majoring in Environmental Engineering. She also currently competes for the Seattle Pacific University Gymnastics Team. She was a captain on the SPU Gymnastics Team last year and will again continue her position this coming year. She has qualified and competed at NCAA Nationals as a floor specialist both of her years at SPU.
Bri also was a completive gymnast at TAGS South for a total of 12 years and competing as a level 10 gymnast there for her final two years. She has always loved coaching gymnastics and being able to share her experiences with other gymnasts. Bri has coached at Falcon Gymnastics in Seattle for the past two years. We are excited she is at RGC this summer.

Matt Norris
Team Coach/Spotter
Matt has 6 years coaching experience. He has coached at the pre-beginner level to the high school level. He is safety certified, First Aid and CPR certified, and attended 2 years of spotter training.
Matt graduated from Bloomington Kennedy High School and coached football and wrestling for 3 years before coming to RGC.
Matt’s sister was a level 6 RGC gymnast and his mother served as president of the board for many years. Matt has been to every spring show since he was 12 years old!
